Minglewood Distillery
Wooster, Ohio
Design work included transforming this dilapidated building that was a former Ice & Coal Building in downtown Wooster, into a state-of-the-art distillery. Phase I included the renovations of the smaller building on the site, with Phase II being future expansion into the adjacent building. Tiebacks and reinforcement of the exterior walls was the first step along with a new roof, new windows and doors. Once the structure was properly shored up, interior restoration and construction began. Interior renovation work included: cleaning brick walls, polishing concrete floors, new toilet rooms, new lighting/HVAC/plumbing, and a new retail display area in the front half of the building. Owner selected and installed all the distillery equipment in the back.
