DVS 170002 Renovation to Vets Hall, Giffin, Secrest

Scope: Senior Project Management and Design Lead. Schmid Architects put together a dynamic team consisting of MEP Engineers, EDGE Certified consultants, building envelope consultants and others who are experts in their field.

The Ohio Veterans Home proposed many upgrades to their Sandusky Facility which included, but not limited to: masonry repairs, replace handrails and guardrails, replace interior doors, ceiling replacement, lighting upgrades, flooring replacement and plumbing upgrades. Weekly meetings were held by the design team to prepare budgetary estimates, review products and set-up mockups, review products with staff, provide testing on site for exterior of all four buildings and review energy efficient green building practices.
