The U-Haul property and storage center consists of upgrading a former movie theater building into a U-Box storage building with showroom, building a new 3-story self-storage building, outdoor mini storage and truck/trailer sharing.  Phase I included design work and providing construction documents to convert the former movie theater into a U-Box Storage Building.  Work included filling in former sloped theater floors, demolition of former theaters, restrooms, mezzanine and lobby.  Designed new showroom, office, breakroom, restroom and open plan for U-Boxes.  Exterior design included adding a loading dock, new paint, new metal siding, new storefront and sidewalks.  Phase 2 is to provide construction documents for a new 3-Story Self Storage Building on vacant property.  This building will provide an indoor loading/unloading area, restrooms and 894 self-storage lockers of various sizes and additional parking conforming to U-Haul’s design standards for all their facilities.
